February 17th to March 18-19th

Assalamu alaykum,

We hope you are doing well.

Taraweeh will be hosted at Tajweed Institute, in addition to most other Ramadan events. Make sure you come early, as overflow will have to be outside the masjid.

Updates will be sent out to our respective WhatsApp channels, and this page will see continuous updates as well.

Print our Ramadan 2026 calendar if you wish to track adthan and iqamah times day by day.

Students, you may exempt from physical exercise during Ramadan.

Volunteers, you can apply at our volunteering page.

We're aiming to raise funds to cover our entire year of operations, which includes repairs, rent, staffing, and other bills. These costs are a foundation to our events, which engage with younger and older Muslims, and encourage non-Muslims to take on the oath.

You who believe, fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may be mindful of God.
The Quran
Whoever prayed at night in it (the month of Ramadan) out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven.

Frequently Asked Questions

If your question isn't answered, email us at info@tajweedusa.org.

Where can I receive updates?

We send updates to two WhatsApp channels. One is for regular Ramadan updates, and another is for prayer time updates.

How can I prepare for Ramadan?

Dr. Ra'ed al-Rosan's khutbah, made on January 23rd, is excellent.

How does Ramadan work?

On the first night of Ramadan, which as of 2026, is February 17th, we'll be praying the long nightly prayer after Isha, called Taraweeh, at Tajweed Institute.

It's custom to then wake up slightly before fajr to eat, as our fasting starts then. Until Maghrib, we cannot eat or drink unless medically necessary.

After Maghrib, the second night of Ramadan begins, and we break our fast traditionally by eating dates.

After eating, one may go to the masjid until Isha to prayer the Taraweeh prayer once again. This cycle is repeated until the end of Ramadan.

Beyond this routine, we're to hold our tongue and keep in the remembrance of God. This strict observation is not for temporary piety, but it's done to discipline our heart and the soul, and in doing so, retain a permanent habit, forever elevating our rank even if slightly, inshallah.
